Job Description:
The essential functions/duties include, but are not limited to the following: Manages the SC weekly, cycle, and monthly productivity. Monitors the Billing integrity of the unit Reviews SC logs to ensure compliance with NYS regulations. Will provide overall oversight assigned Service Coordinators. Will provide training as necessary. Will conduct 1:1 face to face supervision meeting on monthly basis or more frequently as needed. Will monitor and address alerts from iPad as part of supervision. Responsible for completing supervision tool(s). Will conduct case file audit on a monthly basis. Will conduct field supervision as needed. Will ensure that all NYC EIP, NYS DOH, and TheraCare guidelines are met and exceeded. Will collaborate with the other units in the branch and the Internal Compliance Unit. Will ensure that all post audit Exceptions are addressed and that trainings and re-trainings are held in a timely manner when needed. Will be proactive when dealing with Service Coordinators that are not fully meeting the standards and criteria set by TheraCare and NYS/NYC EIP guidelines. Will implement the PIP Process (in collaboration with the HR dept. and Director of Service Coordination) when necessary and will manage the process closely and within the time frame noted. Will hold scheduled POF meetings. Will report on the status of the Service Coordination Unit during monthly staff meetings. Interview potential SC candidates as necessary. Assist in marketing and relationship building efforts in the community as necessary. Will handle and follow up on complaints/issues from families and NYC EI Regional Office. Will alert Internal the Compliance Unit, Director of Service Coordination of any potential problems involving SC cases. Will maintain and foster professional relationship with the EIP NYC Regional office. Participates in 1:1 supervision with SC Director. Coordinates monthly team meetings with staff. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 2-3 Years of supervisor experience REQUIREMENTS BA 2-3 years Early Intervention Service Coordinator Experience 1-2 years experience supervising SCs PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, telephone, computer) Ability to sit for extended periods of time Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to travel to multiple locations NOTE: The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
