Job Description:

A highly creative Senior Graphic Designer creates and manages print and digital content for Hadassah's marketing and communications needs. The Senior Graphic Designer is detail oriented, organized, thrives in a team environment and collaborates well with both creative and cross-functional teams in a positive, enthusiastic manner. Responsibilities include managing all graphic design tasks, refining projects and drafts, and generating creative ideas.

To be successful as a Senior Graphic Designer, the designer should have extensive knowledge of and passion for graphic design, typography, trends, techniques and best practices for implementation on all traditional and digital platforms. Experience in implementing marketing campaigns is necessary. Ultimately, an excellent Senior Graphic Designer will ensure that the design team promotes the vision and priorities of the organization through high-quality graphic content.

Job Responsibilities

  • Designing graphic content, illustrations, and infographics-for collateral materials such as brochures, newsletters, promotional items, and digital advertising/social media/web projects; create display materials for in-house displays, or events.
  • Conceptualizing advertising campaigns for print and digital.
  • Liaising between the creative, writers/editors, marketing staff and volunteer leaders across the organization to proactively move projects forward and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Managing design projects from conception to delivery. Organize and supervise each of the projects working with outside vendors, printers, exhibit firms, illustrators, photographers, videographers, and freelancers.
  • Generating fresh concepts. Ability to understand a project brief as well as business goals before engaging design.
  • Ensuring brand consistency throughout all marketing projects.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and trends.
  • Organization of files and/or assets for storage or archiving.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design
  • 5+ years of experience in a graphics design studio, ad/marketing agency, PR firm, or in-house graphics dept.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Demonstrates progressively senior responsibility and deliverables as a Graphic Designer
  • Conceptual skills, detail- and deadline-oriented
  • Highly organized and ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to give directions, as well as work collaboratively with team members; interprets
  • feedback to find the best execution
  • Proficiency in Mac and Adobe Creative Suite {e.g. lnDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Fluency in Microsoft programs {Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in pre-press production
  • Knowledge of photography and video editing a plus, but not required
